Defense Technology Security Administration
Defense Technology Security Administration : DTSA is the DOD organization that reviews applications for the export of items that are subject to the dual-use license controls of the Commerce Department and the munitions controls of the Department of State. DTSA has about 130-to-140 staff, is located in the Office of the Secretary, and administers DOD technology security policy so that the U.S. is not technologically surprised on the battlefield.
