Degree Oechsle (°Oe) :

A unit used in Germany and Switzerland to measure the sugar content of must, the unfermented liquour from which wine is made. One degree Oechsle (or Öchsle) is roughly equivalent to 0.2% sugar by weight. This unit is related legally to oKMW by the formula oOe = oKMW * ([.022 * ?KMW] + 4.54)
