Demobilization 1 : (1) The emergency response stage that addresses transition of resources, and eventually the IMT itself, from incident activities back to normal operations or to a baseline standby state as operational objectives are attained and the resources are relieved of incident responsibilities. (2) The orderly, safe, and efficient return of an incident resource to its original location and status. (NIMS 12/08)
