Department of Homeland Security, Organization/Structure (2003) : "The Department will be structured into four Directorates, each responsible for implementing the applicable components of the six critical missions. They are: (1) Border and Transportation Security, (2) Information Analysis and Critical Infrastructure Protection, (3) Emergency Response and Preparedness, and (4) Science and Technology.
