Departmental (The Evaluation) : In the context of the Control of Pesticides Regulations in the UK this term refers to an application for approval which is outside existing precedents where the new risks the product presents will need to be assessed. For example, an increase in active ingredient concentration above that previously used or if a product previously used indoors is now to be used outdoors. Additional data may need to be submitted for evaluation, and where necessary other government departments/bodies (such as the Department of Health, Natural England, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), Scottish Executive, National Assembly for Wales) and the Advisory Committee on Pesticides may need to be consulted
