Design 1 : (1) The process and the result of developing a concept, detailed plans, supporting calculations and specifications for a facility and its parts. (2) The description of special form radioactive material, low dispersible radioactive material, package or packaging which enables such an item to be fully identified. The description may include specifications, engineering drawings, reports demonstrating compliance with regulatory requirements, and other relevant documentation. This is a much more restricted definition than (1), and is specific to the Transport Regulations
