Diffuse Explosion : The instant decomposition of combustible gases in appropriate mixture with air. In a limited space, this phenomenon may displace walls, bulkheads, and fixed objects. The combustion produces a great amount of sudden heat with expansion dependent upon volume. This is not a high velocity type explosion but is heat-producing and capable of displacement damage as well as continuing fire
