Digital Elevation Model (DEM) 02

Digital Elevation Model (DEM) 02 : A digital elevation model is a 3-D representation of a terrain's surface created from terrain elevation data. It can take the form of either a 'flat' image, where the brightness or colour represents height, or a wire/block diagram which shows the terrain in 3-D. Variants of DEMs include: (1) Digital terrain models (DTM) - which show the elevation of the ground surface itself, excluding any human-made structures and vegetation. (2) Digital surface models (DSM) - which show the elevation of the actual surface, including human-made structures and vegetation
