(ICT) A Digital Video Disc or Digital Versatile Disc is an Optical Disc that is capable of storing high-quality video as well as other forms of data, e.g. programs, text, still pictures and graphics. It is possible that DVDs will completely replace CD-ROMs in the not-too-distant future. DVDs can be read or written to on multimedia computers equipped with a DVD drive or Combination Drive.
