Directory 1
Directory 1 : (ICT) Part of the file system that is managed by the operating system. All operating systems have directory structures for handling files although details differ between them. Files are organised into a hierarchy of directories. Each directory contains one or more files. For example a 'directory tree' might look like this. myfile.txt. MYDOCSmorfile.exe. MYDOCSdisplay.ppt. The 'myfile.txt' example is in the top directory, often called the 'root'. All the others are in a directory called mydocs. Another name for directory is 'folder'
