Disaster 187 :
An event that creates an inability to provide critical functions for a significant period of time. Normally this is a widespread event causing destruction and distress; however, while this may include a large-scale event, as in a "natural disaster," a localized event may present sufficient impact to an organization or community to be classified as a disaster.
