Discharge (flow)
Discharge (flow) :
the rate of flow of water measured in terms of volume (measured in megalitres (ML) or cubic metres (m3)) over time (measured in days or seconds), i.e., ML/d or m3/s. It is to be distinguished from the speed or velocity of flow which is a measure of how fast the water is moving rather than how much is moving. (Note 1 m3/s = 86.4 ML/d)
