Disease 05

Disease 05 : Although this threat is often a secondary effect of a true physical and natural disaster, it can exist as a primary effect. For example, HIV/Aids, malaria, tuberculosis (TB) and diarrhoea are the top four lethal epidemics that ravage the populations of the poorest countries. As a secondary effect, water-borne and communicable diseases such as cholera and dysentery spread quickly through populations, particularly when there is a certain degree of concentration (as is the case with temporary shelters and camps for the destitute following a natural disaster)
