Disengagement Plan
Disengagement Plan : A predetermined list of actions to be enacted by a pilot of an aircraft in the event of unforeseen hazardous circumstances, including but not limited to: (1) Engine failure. (2) Sighting of ground personnel within a drop zone. (3) Last minute change of tactics. (4) Failure of a tank, bucket or door to open during a drop. An escape plan should be devised for all water and retardant releases and for all personnel and equipment drops
