Fire Enduance Rating 1 : (Fire Pr) A measure expressed in hours, half hours, or quarter-hours, defined by the authority having jurisdiction, or recommended by an independent testing laboratory, during which a building material, structural member, assembly, or structure must retain its design integrity or effectively resist destruction when exposed to fire under given conditions. Note: Fire endurance rating requirements are usually specified in building and fire protection codes
