Fire Extinguisher Symbols


Fire Extinguisher Symbols : (Fire Pr) A set of four letter symbols - A, B, C, and D - used to label the respective classes ofire extinguishers corresponding to the types of fires they are effective against. The letters are white, on colored backgrounds: A on a green triangle; B on a red square; C on a blue disk; and D on a yellow 5-pointed star. Note: Multipurpose extinguishers are often marked with two or even three symbols. Several of the dry chemical type, for example, carry both B and C designations
