Incident Communications Emergency Policy & Procedures (ICEPP) 1 :
"...provides detailed guidance to Federal incident communicators on activities to be initiated in conjunction with incidents requiring a coordinated Federal response. It is applicable to all Federal departments and agencies responding under the NRF. The ICEPP establishes mechanisms to prepare and deliver coordinated and sustained messages regarding these incidents, and provides for prompt Federal acknowledgement of an incident and communication of emergency information to the public during incident management operations".
