Incremental Silviculture


Incremental Silviculture : A Ministry of Forests and Range term that refers to the treatments carried out to maintain or increase the yield and value of forest stands; includes activities such as commercial thinning, juvenile spacing, pruning, and fertilization that are not part of the basic silviculture obligations required to establish a free-growing forest stand following timber harvesting.
