Independent (Audit)
Independent (Audit) : Members of the audit team (including the leader) who are not assigned to the site or process unit being audited. Ideally these persons should come from outside the Subsidiary. Where there are clearly independent functions or geographical locations within a Subsidiary, then audit members can be found from such groups and still be regarded independent. Examining reporting line convergence is a good guide to how independent an auditor is
