Indicator 4

Indicator 4 : Indicators are ways of quantifying objectives. For example, accident numbers would measure the overall safety objective. This type of indicator is often called an outcome indicator, in that it measures part of the outcome of a strategy. It is also possible to define input indicators, which measure what has been done (e.g. length of bus lanes implemented) and process indicators, which describe how the transport system is responding (e.g. number of bus users)
