Indicator : Condition Indicator: Characteristic of a structure, system or component that can be observed, measured or trended to infer or directly indicate the current and future ability of the structure, system or component to function within acceptance criteria. Functional Indicator: Condition indicator that is a direct indication of the current ability of a structure, system or component to function within acceptance criteria. Performance Indicator: Characteristic of a process that can be observed, measured or trended to infer or directly indicate the current and future performance of the process, with particular emphasis on satisfactory performance for safety
