Indirect Cooling
Indirect Cooling : In the indirect cooling system used for pump engines the water in the cylinder block and header tank circulates in a closed circuit, there being no connection to waste, though an overflow is provided to allow for expansion. The same water is therefore used over and over again to cool the engine. To prevent this water boiling, cooling coils are installed in the header tank. Water from the pump, which first traverses the dual filters, then passes through the coils, thereafter discharging to waste
