Individual and Family Grant (IFG) Program

Individual and Family Grant (IFG) Program : A program through which the Federal government makes a grant to a State for the purpose of making grants to individuals and families adversely affected by a major disaster. Individual and family grants are intended to meet disaster-related necessary expenses or serous needs in those cases where such individuals or families are unable to meet their expenses or needs through assistance under other provisions of the Stafford Act or through other means. (Stafford Act)
