Inert Wastes : These are wastes which are not biodegradable and are chemically inactive in the environment such as construction debris, bricks, concrete, glass, sand, earth and plastics, paper, fibrous materials (except asbestos and refractory ceramic fibres) and rubber products. Some scrap metals are included in this category. Inert wastes are persistent in the environment
