Inherently Flame-Resistant (IFR) 2

Inherently Flame-Resistant (IFR) 2 :

Fibres that do not support combustion due to their chemical structure. They do not need a chemical additive to provide flame resistance. The high-temperature-resistant polymers in IFR fibres provide an inert barrier between the wearer and the hazard. Protective properties of the fabric are permanent and cannot be washed out or removed. Examples of IFR fibres are Nomex®, Kevlar®, and PBI®. Nomex® & Kevlar® are registered trademarks of the DuPont® Company. PBI® is a registered trademark of Hoechst Celanese Corp
