In-Process or In-Use Material :
Material that is integral to the manufacturing or production processes and is needed to maintain continuity of operations. Other material that requires temporary location near the pertinent process areas in readiness for near-term use or for movement to other process areas may also be considered "in-process." For material involved in laboratory operations, analogous definitions shall be applied to determine eligibility for the "in-process" or "in-use" category and consequent exclusion from storage requirements of these criteria
