Intelligence Personal Radiation Locator (IRPL) : "The IPRL emerged from an end user requirement for a next-generation personal radiation detection system similar to the radiation pagers often used by CBP, first responders, and law enforcement officials. IPRL will have sufficient energy resolution and sensitivity to reliably discriminate between NORM, background, and potential threats, and will be used by law enforcement, first responder, counterterrorism, the intelligence community and others in routine activities and surveillance.
