Interactive Processing 2 : There are two main types of processing. (1) Fully automatic. (2) Interactive. Interactive processing means that the person needs to provide the computer with instructions whilst it is doing the processing. For example, imagine that a computer is running a program that takes a set of files from one directory and does some work on each one. As each file is processed the computer sends a screen message to the operator "Where do you want this file to be stored". i.e the user 'interacts' with the computer to complete the processing
