Interior Finish 1 : (Build) The material of walls, fixed or movable partitions, ceilings, and other exposed interior surfaces of buildings, including plaster, paneling, wood, paint, wallpaper, floor and ceiling tiles, and the like. Interior finish implies more or less permanent attachment, in contrast to decorations, such as hanging pictures, rugs, draperies, and furnishings. Note: Interior finishes are classified with respect to their surface burning characteristics as tested in the 25-ft tunnel fire test. Class A: Any material classified at 25 or less. Class B: Any material classified at more than 25 but not more than 75. class C: Any material classified at more than 75 but not more than 200. Class D: Any material classified at more than 200 but not more than 500. Class E: Any material classified at over 500. See: Flame Spread Classification
