International Tsunami Information Center ITIC 2 :

Located in Honolulu, The International Tsunami Information Center (ITIC) was established on 12 November 1965 by the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The first session of the International Coordination Group for the Tsunami Warning System in the Pacific (ITSU) convened in 1968. In 2005, the ITSU was renamed as the Intergovernmental Coordination Group for the Pacific Tsunami Warning and Mitigation System (ICG/PTWS) to emphasize the comprehensive nature of risk reduction.
