Inverted Siphon


Inverted Siphon : (Techn) A curved pipe used to transfer liquids from a higher to a lower elevation. The pipe can be used to convey a liquid from a source, pass it underneath an obstruction, and deliver it on the other side. Note: Such a siphon will operate as long as the outlet is below the surface level of the liquid in the source. In contrast to a regular siphon, an inverted siphon does not require priming
