Laboratory 3 : General. A location or facility where engineering controls include a glove box or laboratory type ventilation hood and the quantities of chemical agents in use at one time are small, normally not exceeding one Liter. These operations may include research and development, production/acceptance testing, sample analysis and evaluation, limited detoxification, animal testing, or other small-scale agent operations
