Laws of Thermodynamics

Laws of Thermodynamics : (1) Energy can be transformed but not destroyed. (2) Heat can never pass spontaneously from a colder to a hotter body. (3) The entropy of a substance approaches zero as its temperature approaches the absolute zero. The conversion coefficient between heat and work (law I) is known as the mechanical equivalent of heat. It is unity if heat and work are both measured in joules
