Mammal strike 1 : As determined by Bird Strike Committee Canada, a mammal strike has occurred when: (a) a pilot reports a mammal strike; (b) aircraft maintenance personnel identify aircraft damage caused by a mammal strike; (c) personnel on the ground report seeing an aircraft strike one or more mammals; and (d) mammal remains, whether in whole or in part, are found on an airside pavement area or within 200 feet of a runway - unless another reason for the mammal's death is identified
