Bubnoff Unit (B)

Bubnoff Unit (B) :

A unit used in geology to measure erosion rates. One Bubnoff unit is equal to the removal of one micrometer per year (m/a), or one millimeter per thousand years, or one meter per million years (m/Ma). First proposed in 1968, the unit is named for Serge von Bubnoff (1888-1957), a Russian-born geologist who taught in Germany
