Refrigerated Wagon :

Railway Transport - Transport Equipment (Vehicle). Insulated wagon using a source of cold (natural ice, with or without the addition of salt; eutectic plates; dry ice, with or without sublimation control; liquefied gases, with or without evaporation control; etc.) other than a mechanical or "absorption" unit. Such a wagon is capable, with a mean outside temperature of + 30OC, of lowering the temperature inside the empty body to, and thereafter maintaining it: - at + 7OC maximum in the case of class A; - at -10OC maximum in the case of class B; - at -20OC maximum in the case of class C; and - at 0OC maximum in the case of class D, with the aid of appropriate refrigerants and fittings
