Remedial Actions 4
Remedial Actions 4 : Activities taken to restore a contaminated site to its pre-contaminated condition. In contrast to removal actions, these are longer-term actions, including cleanup, treatment, and neutralization of contamination and access control or permanent relocation of residents, if necessary. Remedial actions are coordinated by the remedial project manager. U.S. Department of the Army Pamphlet 50-6, Chemical Accident or Incident Response and Assistance (CAIRA) Operations, treats remedial actions as taking place in a "non-emergency atmosphere," and describes the goal as returning the chemical accident or incident site to "technically achievable and acceptable conditions"
