Various health programs arose after the attacks to provide treatment for 9/11-related illnesses among responders, recovery workers, and other survivors. When theJames Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Actbecame federal law in January 2011, these programs were replaced by theWorld Trade Center Health Program
