The mass of a particle at rest. According to the theory of relativity, the mass depends on velocity and increases with growing particle speed. If m0 is the rest mass, v the particle velocity and c the light velocity, the mass m depending on velocity is calculated as follows: m = m0 / √ [1 - (v/c)2].
