Reviews of Environmental Factors (REFs)
Reviews of Environmental Factors (REFs) : Means the framework (under Part 5 of the EP&A Act) utilised by public authorities to consider whether a proposal (including hazard reduction) is likely to significantly affect the environment. If the proposal is likely to significantly affect the environment then an Environmental Impact Statement ("EIS") is required. If the proposal is not likely to significantly affect the environment then the determining authority may proceed with the proposal
