Stack Effect 1

Stack Effect 1 : Buoyancy-driven vertical air flow between floors of a building, caused by a temperature difference between indoor and outdoor air; e.g. if indoor air is warmer than outdoor air, it will tend to rise and escape through the upper parts of the building shell, and be replaced by air entering the lower part of the building; the reverse occurs if indoor air is cooler than outdoor air
