Standing Committee on Biocidal Products (SCBP)
Standing Committee on Biocidal Products (SCBP) : The SCBP is a committee created to assist the European Commission. It is composed of representatives of the Member States and chaired by a representative of the Commission. It considers recommendations made by the Commission and provides comments on the assessment report (agreed changes are subsequently incorporated in the report by the Rapporteur Member State). The SCBP decides by Qualified Majority Voting (QMV) whether to accept the draft decision relying on the EU Technical Note for Guidance on Annex I Inclusion to help reach a decision
