CBRN Safety 023 :
Foreign CBRN CM. Foreign consequence management is assistance provided by the USG to an impacted nation to mitigate the effects of a deliberate or inadvertent CBRN incident. From the national level, FCM encompasses USG efforts to assist partner nations to respond to incidents involving CBRN contaminants and the coordination of the US interagency response to a request from a partner nation following an incident involving CBRN contaminants. DOD's CBRN response includes efforts to protect its citizens and its Armed Forces abroad, as well as those of its friends and allies, in order to mitigate human casualties and to provide temporary associated essential services. When requested by DOS and directed by SecDef, DOD supports FCM operations by performing CBRN response activities to the extent allowed by law and subject to the availability of forces
