Station Calibration
Station Calibration : For using station observation from all over the world in a common data center, these station observations should be corrected (if possible) for all very anomalous local effects such as significant azimuth- and distance-dependent travel-time residuals. The same applies to anomalously large or small amplitudes of relevant seismic phases due to strong site effects which systematically bias station magnitude readings with respect to the network average.
