CBRN Safety 071 : Chapter II - Domestic CBRN CM (2) Roles, Responsibilities, Authorities, and Assets: (D) DOD Roles and Responsibilities: (8) Combatant Commands: (a) Commander, US Northern Command, and Commander, US Pacific Command: When directed by the President or SecDef, these GCCs provide Title 10, USC, CS/DSCA support to domestic CBRN CM and are the supported commanders in a CBRN response. CDRUSNORTHCOM is responsible for providing CBRN CM assistance to US and Allied authorities, as directed, within the USNORTHCOM AOR, to include US territories and protectorates in that AOR. Other geographic and functional commands support CDRUSNORTHCOM and CDRUSPACOM in their DSCA efforts. (b) Commander, United States Special Operations Command (CDRUSSOCOM): When directed by the President or SecDef, CDRUSSOCOM conducts special operations in support of national CBRN CM activities. CDRUSSOCOM may provide liaison officers (LNOs) and other assistance to the supported CCDR, as required. (c) Commander, United States Transportation Command, is a joint force provider and provides deployment, distribution, sustainment, and redeployment of common user air, land, and sea transportation for forces supporting CBRN CM and provides aeromedical evacuation as required, IAW current guidance. (d) Commander, United States Strategic Command (CDRUSSTRATCOM): CDRUSSTRATCOM is responsible for synchronizing planning for DOD combating weapons of mass destruction (CWMD) efforts in coordination with other combatant commands, the Services, and as directed, appropriate USG departments and agencies
