Stratosphere 4

Stratosphere 4 : The atmospheric layer between the tropopause and the stratopause, roughly between 12 and 50 km above the surface, characterized by a general increase in temperature with increasing altitude. The residence time of gases and particles in the stratosphere is much longer than in the troposphere. See Temperature inversion
