Strike-Slip Fault Movement : Slip (movement) that is parallel to the trace of the fault. Two kinds of strike slip occur: right-lateral (also referred to as dextral) and left-lateral (also referred to as sinistral). Also known as lateral-slip fault movement. (Compare dip-slip fault movement.)
