Safety Integrity Levels (SIL) 3 :
A performance criterion for a SIF defining the probability of the SIF failing to perform its function on demand. Level 1: Average Probability of Failure on Demand: >=10-2 to 10-1, Risk Reduction: >10 to =<100. Level 2: Average Probability of Failure on Demand: >=10-3 to 10-2, Risk Reduction: >100 to =<1,000. Level 3: Average Probability of Failure on Demand: >=10-4 to 10-3, Risk Reduction: >1,000 to =<10,000.
