Central Valley Flood Protection Plan (CVFPP) Floodplain : The floodplains used for the SFMP risk characterization within portions the Central Valley are the CVFPP No Action depth grid floodplains with the addition of the flood bypasses. SFMP received the draft CVFPP floodplains on October 4, 2011. The CVFPP floodplains were based on the floodplains of the Sacramento and San Joaquin River Basins Comprehensive Study (USACE, 2002) and modified by the CVFPP to reflect current hydrologic, hydraulic, and geotechnical information. For the SFMP analysis, the Yolo, East Side, Upper Sacramento, Mariposa, Sutter, and Tisdale bypasses were added to the CVFPP floodplains
