Centrex : Centrex is the working name of the Central Police Training and Development Authority. It is a new body designed to define, develop and promote policing excellence. It's aim is to help drive a modernising agenda by creating and delivering career-long learning, and by providing a centre of policing excellence and support. Uniquely, Centrex connects with police, academia and experts around the world to offer a dynamic fusion of ideas and practical solutions. It offers a central resource into which excellence in law enforcement can be channelled and redistributed to those who need it most
